What MIORA is

MIORA buys salon time in advance and passes the discount to you. The salon sets its own prices and does the work; we hold your rate against them, take the payment, and settle with the salon weekly.

Your rate

Your rate is fixed when a salon confirms your visit, and never changes afterwards — not by a price list edit, not by anything we do. What you pay is the salon's posted price less your rate, less any gift you hold.

Booking

A request is not a booking. A salon answers it — by confirming, by offering another time, or by not being able to take you. Nothing is held until they confirm, and nothing is taken until your visit is done.

The bill

The salon states the bill from its own price list. You are never asked to type an amount. If it is wrong, say so on the bill itself — the salon can correct it, and a correction replaces the bill rather than editing it, so both of you keep the record of what changed.

Your card

You save a card when you first ask for a time, and you never pay at the salon. Our payment processor keeps the card; we keep its last four digits, its expiry, a reference to it and a fingerprint that catches referral fraud — never the number. Twenty-four hours before a visit, or when the salon confirms if that is later, we ask your bank to hold what the visit is expected to cost you: the salon's posted price for what you asked for, less your rate. A hold is not a charge; the amount is on your booking, and your bank shows it as pending. A changed time keeps its hold if it is no more than six days from the original, and for a further time the hold is released and asked again the day before. After the visit the salon states its bill for what was done, your rate and any gift come off, and we take the amount of the bill from what was held, releasing the rest. If the bill comes to more than was held, the remainder waits for you in Visits to settle. If your bank asks you to confirm a payment, we tell you and the bill waits in Visits. Remove your card any time from You.

Something for the team

A tip is yours to add on the receipt after a visit, and it is charged on its own. It goes to the team in full — MIORA takes nothing from it, it is never mixed with what the salon is paid, and it is never charged unless you added it.

Our day

Where these terms speak of the end of a day, they mean our trading day: it begins at six in the morning and ends at six the next morning, and a visit that runs past midnight belongs to the day it began.

Gifts and referrals

A gift is dirhams. It comes off a bill before you pay. They expire six months after they are given, and what is left of one after a visit stays yours. Referral credit is paid when your friend's first visit is settled, once per friend.

Prima

Prima is AED 59 a month, charged monthly until you stop it. Cancel any month and the rate holds until the month you have paid for runs out. We do not pro-rate, and we do not charge again after you cancel.

Not turning up

Tell the salon, or cancel on MIORA, and the hold is released — nothing happens. If you do not come and say nothing, the hold is released too: we do not charge for a missed visit. We do record missed visits, because a salon that holds a chair carries the cost of an empty one, and we will tell you before that ever changes.

What is between you and the salon

The service itself — how it was done, what was used, anything that happens in the room — is the salon's. Tell us anyway: we choose which salons are here, and we act on what we hear.

Ending it

Stop using MIORA whenever you like, or ask us to delete your account. What we have to keep afterwards, and for how long, is on the privacy page.

Who we are, and the law

MIORA is a service of SEDR APPS - L.L.C - S.P.C, trade licence CN-6327448, Abu Dhabi. Write to us at hello@miora.one. The law of the United Arab Emirates as it applies in Abu Dhabi governs these terms. A disagreement we cannot settle with you goes to the courts of Abu Dhabi, and you may also take it to the consumer protection service of the Ministry of Economy or of Abu Dhabi's Department of Economic Development.

Language

These terms and the words you agree to when you save a card are in Arabic and English. Where the two differ, the Arabic binds.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we ask again rather than swapping the page underneath you. This is version 2026-09.
